Sterile IPA from Contec is a mixture of 70% v/v isopropanol with 30% water for injection or distilled water. The alcohol mixture is filtered to 0.2 micron in a class C clean room (ISO class 7) and filled into bags. This clean manufacturing process in combination with the use of water for injection or distilled water guarantees that the alcohol mixture has an endotoxin content of less than 0.25 endotoxin units/ml.
Contec Sterile IPA have been gamma irradiated with at least 25 kGy in a validated procedure and thus sterilised. Supplied in 0.5 litre or 1 litre nebuliser bottles equipped with a protection system that maintains sterility during use, or in 5 litre containers with lids for larger areas. The 5 litre product is mixed with distilled water, while the product in the nebuliser bottle is mixed with water for injection.
