FFP is the acronym for "Filtering Face Piece". Particle-filtering half masks are categorised on the basis of their filtering efficiency and are PPE. This particulate respirator fulfils the requirements of the European standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009 and is designed to provide respiratory protection for the wearer. This 4-layer respirator has a filter efficiency of at least 94% against particles.
With nose clip and ear loops. A respirator is more robust than a face mask or medical face mask. FFP2 masks not only offer other people, but also the wearer better protection against viruses such as the coronavirus. Contrary to the manufacturer's recommendation, FFP2 masks are used several times in everyday private life. The IAB offers these masks as EW masks, because FFP2 NR means; FFP2 Not Reusable.
